A job pings your phone.
Issue, location, distance, customer, est. value, your net after fee. Three of you are pinged at once. First to accept gets the job.
A back-office for solo diesel mechanics. Customers arrive vetted, with insurance covered, translation handled, and disputes defended. You fix trucks. We do the office work. 5% per completed job.
The real cost of being independent isn't the tools or the truck — it's everything around the wrench. Chasing payment on a 90-day-old invoice. Explaining to a fleet's AP person who you are. Hunting receipts at tax time. Re-typing a customer's broken English. Eating a $600 repair because they decided not to pay.
We built the rest of the business so you can keep building engines. 5% per completed job. That's the whole bill.
No quoting calls, no chasing payment, no customer hunt. You set your radius and your hours. Jobs in range come to you.
Issue, location, distance, customer, est. value, your net after fee. Three of you are pinged at once. First to accept gets the job.
We share your live ETA with the customer. No more "where are you?" calls. Translation runs in the background — you speak Spanish, the dispatcher reads English.
Found something extra? Photo it, type the price, send. Customer approves or declines from their phone. No quote chase, no end-of-job surprises.
Card auto-charged at completion. Funds clear to your Stripe account. Every Friday morning the week's payout lands in your bank. 5% off the top, that's it.
Card is auto-charged at job completion — by us, not by you. Funds settle in escrow, then payout drops every Friday morning at 7 AM PT. You can also pull payout early for a fee, or stack to bi-weekly.
We hold the card, we charge it, we clear it. You finish the job, the meter runs out.
Year-end 1099. Per-job receipts. Mileage log if you opt in. Hand the whole thing to your CPA in one click.
If a fleet disputes, the dispute goes to RigFix support — not to you. You provide photos and notes. We handle the chase.
Half the diesel work in LA is happening in Spanish. RigFix translates in both directions in real time — voice or text. Original audio is kept on file so if anything is ever disputed, your actual words are evidence.
Speak instead of type. Works gloved, greasy, and one-handed. We transcribe and translate in seconds.
A glossary built with LA mechanics, so "kingpin" stays kingpin, not "royal pin." We keep adding terms.
If a customer claims you said something else, your original recording is right there. Transcripts are summaries. Your voice is evidence.
You're not getting "connected" to a customer and then left holding the bag. We hold the card, run the dispute process, and pay you when the work is done.
Card is authorized at job acceptance, charged at completion. You don't invoice. You don't follow up. 93% of jobs in our pilot pay out within 7 days, zero chasing.
If a fleet claims the work was bad, RigFix support reviews timeline, photos, recorded calls, and messages — then decides. You upload evidence once and get on with your day.
Every fleet account is a verified business with an EIN, a real address, and a card on file. The dispatchers who message you are named, not anonymous handles.
Twilio-routed masked calls. In-app messaging and WhatsApp. All retained for 2 years. If a customer claims you never told them something — there's the transcript.
Lower than the industry standard. Locked for 12 months from the day you onboard. No tiers, no premium plan, no add-ons. Here's what 5% replaces.
We're intentionally lower than industry. The 5% buys you the back-office most solo mechanics never had — and never wanted to build. Compare to the 15–25% most lead-gen marketplaces charge.
Onboarded by humans · usually under 30 min · application form takes ~8 min
Stripe processing fees (2.9% + $0.30) are visible on every receipt to both parties — they don't come out of your share. The 5% is the whole RigFix fee.
I run a fleet. I've been calling roadside mechanics for years and I've watched what the bad platforms do to them — 25% take rates, mystery deductions, no help when a fleet stiffs them.
RigFix is the opposite trade. 5%, locked. Friday payouts. Disputes defended. You keep the customer relationship — when a fleet wants you back, they ask for you by name.
If you're a vetted, insured diesel mechanic in LA and any of this resonates, apply. I read every application.
If your question isn't here, our contact form goes to a real human, usually answered the same day.
Or email mechanics@getrigfix.com — that inbox goes to the founder.
Customer acquisition (no marketing on your end), payment processing (you don't invoice or chase), tax-ready records and 1099 generation, real-time translation, dispute defense, and insurance verification with renewal tracking. Most mechanics in our pilot tell us 5% beats what they currently lose to bad debt and no-shows.
Every Friday morning at 7 AM PT. The customer's card is authorized when they accept the job and charged when you mark complete. Funds settle in escrow, then drop to your verified bank via Stripe Connect. You can pull a payout early for a small fee, or move to bi-weekly cycles.
A real mobile diesel repair operation in the LA metro. $1M general liability minimum (we'll point you to brokers if you don't have it yet). Stripe Identity KYC. A clean check — no recent fraud or assault convictions. Two professional references.
The card is captured by us at acceptance, so they can't simply refuse. If they file a dispute within 72 hours of job completion, the payout is held and RigFix support reviews the timeline, the photos you uploaded, the recorded calls, and the messages. We make the call. You upload evidence once. You don't talk to anyone's lawyer.
Yes. Set your service radius (up to 25 mi), your hours, and the types of jobs you take (tires, electrical, air systems, etc.). You can pause new offers anytime — useful if you're under a truck and don't want to be pinged.
The customer relationship is yours. When a fleet has had a good job with you, they can request you by name on their next call — and we route to you first. If they want to keep working with you outside the platform, that's their call and yours. We don't enforce non-competes.
You speak or type Spanish. The dispatcher reads English. They write English. You read Spanish. Voice notes get transcribed and translated in seconds, using a glossary tuned to diesel terminology. Your original audio is retained for 2 years in case of dispute, so if a fleet ever claims you said something different, your actual voice is the evidence.
Yes. Apply anyway. We have two LA-area brokers we work with who can issue policies in a few days. We can't activate your account until coverage is in place, but we'll walk you through it.
