The day a truck breaks down

You call eight vendors. Three don't answer. Two are too far. One can come — in four hours, for who knows what price.

Every dispatcher in the country runs this play. It costs a fleet roughly $1,000 a day per truck in lost revenue when one sits broken on the shoulder. The mechanics are out there. The problem is finding the right one, fast, with proof they'll do the work right.

We built RigFix for the part of trucking that doesn't have a procurement department — and the mechanics who'd rather fix trucks than write invoices.

What you get

Four operational changes you'll feel by your second breakdown.

Not features. Time off the freeway shoulder, fewer phone calls, and a finance team that doesn't dread roadside invoices.

21 min

Trucks roll sooner.

Median time from request submitted to mechanic accepted, across our LA pilot. The fleets we onboard cut roadside delay from hours

$1M insured

Pre-vetted on the way in.

Every mechanic on RigFix is identity-verified, bank-verified, and carries at least $1M general liability. Coverage is tracked. Lapses pause the account, automatically.

ES  EN

Bilingual, by default.

Your dispatcher writes in English. The mechanic reads in Spanish, replies in Spanish, you read in English. Voice notes get transcribed. Originals stay on file. More Languages coming

1 invoice/mo

One bill. Every truck.

Every job in one monthly statement, broken out by truck and date. Charged the moment each repair's done. AP gets a CSV. Drivers and dispatchers stop hunting receipts.

How a real job runs

One Wednesday morning in El Monte.

A trailer pulls onto the shoulder. The driver calls dispatch. Here's exactly what happens next on RigFix — start to finish in under an hour.

No vendor calls. No quote haggling. No mystery invoice three weeks later. The dispatcher does one thing: open the app and submit.

09:42
Dispatcher submits the request.
Unit 214, air line leak on the front trailer. Pin dropped on the 605. 60 seconds, two taps, optional voice note.
09:45
Carlos accepts. ETA 14 min.
Three nearby mechanics get the offer. First to accept wins. You see his face, his rating, his truck, and a live map.
09:57
On site. Photo uploaded.
Live arrival shows in your lock screen. He confirms the leak, photographs the line, and the original Spanish voice note is in your inbox.
10:04
Quote change request: +$130.
Main line replacement, not a patch. You see photo, reason, new total. You approve with one tap. Work continues.
10:31
Complete. Truck rolls.
Final photos in. Card charged automatically. The job lands on this month's invoice next to 213 other jobs.
Built bilingual

Half the diesel mechanics in LA think in Spanish. We don't ask them not to.

Bilingual chat and voice translation are on by default — for both sides — from day one. Original audio is retained in case anything is ever disputed.

"Front trailer is losing air. Won't hold pressure."

"Aire perdiendo en remolque delantero. No retiene presión."

Voice-first input

You can speak instead of typing. Works gloved, greasy, and one-handed.

Domain-tuned translation

A diesel-specific glossary keeps "kingpin" from becoming "royal pin."

Original audio retained

Translations are transcripts. Originals stay on file for two years.

Trust & safety

Vetted on the way in. Recorded throughout. Backed by escrow.

Most roadside platforms "connect" you to a mechanic and disappear. We stay on the wire — financially, operationally, legally — until your job is done.

Insurance verified, not promised

$1M general liability minimum, certificate uploaded, expiration tracked. Lapsed coverage = auto-paused account. No exceptions.

Identity + bank account verified

Every mechanic completes Stripe Identity KYC and connects a verified bank for payouts. Their real name matches their ID matches their truck.

Every call and message recorded

Masked phone calls. WhatsApp + in-app messaging. All retained for 2 years. If there's a dispute, there's a transcript.

Payment held until you confirm

Card charged at job completion. Held in escrow if disputed within 72 hours. Refunds processed by RigFix support, not by chasing the mechanic.

Pricing

Free. Forever. For fleets.

No tiers. No "request a quote." No fine print under a star.

Common questions

The things dispatchers ask before they sign up.

If your question isn't here, our contact form goes to a real human, usually replied to within a few hours.

Still wondering? Email — we read everything.

Is the app really free for fleets?

Yes. No subscription. No platform fee. No markup on the repair. You pay the mechanic's quoted invoice through the app, and that's it.

How fast can a mechanic actually get to me?

Median time-to-dispatch is about 11 minutes — that's how fast a mechanic commits to your job. Actual arrival depends on traffic and conditions, but you track it live on a map with a lock-screen ETA the whole time.

What if no mechanic is available?

You'll see a clear "no match" message within 90 seconds, not a 4-hour silent wait. Options: expand search radius, get notified when someone frees up, or get routed to RigFix support for a manual dispatch.

What kinds of repairs do you handle?

Roadside-serviceable issues: tires, jump starts, air lines and brake systems, electrical, trailer lights, fuel delivery, lockouts, coolant, belts and hoses, no-start diagnosis. Major engine work or accidents requiring tow are referred to shops or tow partners.

What about disputes or bad repairs?

Open a dispute within 72 hours from the app. Payment is held in escrow. RigFix support reviews the timeline, photos, recorded calls, and messages — then refunds, credits, or closes the case. Three at-fault disputes in 30 days auto-suspends a mechanic.

Do drivers need to download anything?

It's optional. Drivers can download the app, or just tap the SMS link we send — it opens a live tracking page in their browser with no login and no install. Either way they see the mechanic's ETA and can call (masked) or text.

Can multiple dispatchers use one account?

Yes — multi-dispatcher seats are included on the fleet plan. Each dispatcher has their own login, the truck roster is shared, and every job in the activity feed is attributed by who submitted it.
